Dubai Food Festival 2019

A celebration of all things gastronomic, Dubai Food Festival 2019 featured 17 days of irresistible delights. There was so much to see, do and, of course, taste.

From discovering the city’s Hidden Gems to incredible three-course meals at fine-dining restaurants for just AED199. Foodies also flocked to Jumeirah Beach for the swyp Beach Canteen, sipped limited edition coffees at their favourite cafes, and booked tours, masterclasses and unique feasts as part of the first-ever Foodie Experiences.

Nusr-Et Steakhouse in Istanbul - #SaltBAE!

Nusr-Et is a Turkish steakhouse famously known for its unique meat options, even before Nusret himself became the sensational #SaltBAE !

I first came to know Nusr-Et in the year 2014 during a visit to Dubai’s Four Season Resort in Jumeirah, where I found one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted. This time, after almost 5 years, I wanted to relive the experience but in the hometown of Nusr-Et’s successful franchise, Istanbul, located in Etiler Mahalessi.

My usual order is the Nusr-Et burger, which is a THICK, JUICY CHUNCK of steak melted with cheddar cheese and sautéed onions and fresh bread, cut into half and grilled from the center. It’s the simplest burger you can ever eat, with no sauce, garnish or veggies, and yet you will be totally indulged in each and every bite ! Accompanying this masterpiece of course is the fresh-cut fries with chilly-flakes and rosemary herb.
